There are some people that try to be creative at all the wrong times. If you are writing a Press Release, you want to remember that it is great to be creative; but there are certain parts of the process that should be left alone and accepted. This is simply because they work.

There is an immense value to the guidelines and templates of press release writing. Sometimes, there are little parts that can be tweaked or changed for a better result on a case by case basis. Here we are going to talk about some of the components that are traditionally accepted templates. You will want to change some of them, sometimes, but only with caution and wisdom.

The Headline

The headline is one of the things that you are probably not ever going to want to change. It is the text that hooks the reader into your text. You want it to be sharp, to the point, and clear. It should include the name of the business that you are talking about so that readers know what to expect.

Ideally, it makes the person want to keep reading and does not take several reads in order to make sense.

Subheading

The subheading is another tried and true piece of the Press Release template. It is the bit of text that elaborates on the heading to keep the reader reading.

You will want this piece to be clear and to add something to the original headline that entices the person to keep going to learn more about how your services can help them.

First/Lead Paragraph

The main point of this paragraph is to get attention. It should cause people to want to keep reading or even skimming to learn about the services that you are talking about. There should be a minimum of superfluous language or fancy adjectives. It should be clear, to the point, and simple to read.

Just pretend that you are the reader and that you are in a rush, what do you most want to see?

Body Of Text

The next piece of the template is the body of text. You want to make sure that your most important information is at the top. It could be presented in a way that gives the whole picture even if the reader does not continue with the rest of the writing.

Some people write according to the “inverted pyramid” scheme which means that they start with the most important and broad information at the top, and then continue to write about the details towards the bottom. This is a generally good thing to do since starting with details can prove to be rather irritating and confusing for some readers.

Remember, they might just read the first few lines and then stop. You want them to walk away with a basic idea of what the news is for your business.

Length of Press Release

There is not an exact rule for how long the release can be. Depending on the source you are distributing it to, there may be a general rule or cutoff point. The best thing to do is to think of what is best for your release depending on who it is going to.

A good thing to realize is that more than ever, people are in a rush. They are reading single-page articles and not taking the time to sort through pages of newspapers. Most things are online, and most people are not wasting time on long pieces.

You want to be sure that you respecting the time and effort of your reader. Don’t make them work for it, because in all likelihood, they will stop reading. You will want to present the information as quickly as possible so that the journalist can figure out if they want to use it or not. Simple as that.

Value Of Using Quotes

Using quotes is not something that is absolutely necessary in a Press Release. However, it is a great idea for various reasons. Some of these reasons include:

> They are easy for journalists to extract and use.

> They are fun to read for the audience.

> They give the PR some personality.

> They help the reader feel connected to the business and people invovled.

Just remember to say who the quote is from and how they are related to the topic of the Press Release

Boilerplate

The boilerplate is the traditional area at the end of the release where there is a blurb about the business. It is factual, precise, short, and can be picked up easily by journalists.

However, things are changing rapidly. This may be one of the parts of the template that you choose to get creative with. You can replace it with various things, such as a call to action or a link to your website for more information. It is also possible to lure the reader to your website with a question or an opportunity for the reader to ask a question by directing them to your website.

Unless you see a direct reason that the traditional boilerplate is a good idea for your release, it may be a good idea to switch it up a bit and try different things. You might just strike gold and end up with increased interest in your site!

The bottom line is that if you want to write a great and engaging Press Release, it is wise to know the template. As they say, it is sometimes best to know the rules before you break them. If you want to get creative, try to do so once you know what works and what doesn’t for your business. This can keep you safe while also teaching you the rules of the game

Some people have an easier time than others adapting to the new world of social media and press releases. They may easily learn to use Twitter and Facebook to make their smaller businesses stable and rooted in the ground of SEO, which means Search Engine Optimization.

Other people have a very hard time adapting. They are confused about Tweets, hash tags, Facebook, social media in general, and keywords. They aren’t sure about how to build their search engine rank and they have no clue how to build media relationships.

Here we are going to talk about some of the things that you need to do in order to not lose your business to the dark underbelly of the Internet. You will see that it is not very hard, and it is just a matter of knowing the most important things. This particular article will focus on how to make the content of your Press Release successful.

We will talk in other articles about how you can make a good press release, as well as how you can build relationships with other bloggers so that you can maintain a platform. You will learn how to build media relations on the Twitter platform, and also how to build value on Facebook. Furthermore, you will see how to create your own multimedia release!

How To Create A Press Release Wisely

Writing a press release is not a matter of just making something sound exciting. Instead, you have to remember that keywords are important, as is the way your message is composed. You want to make sure that you can incorporate the tips outlined below.

Be Aware Of How Readers Function

You want to be aware of how your readers are taking in your press release. This is what separates successful writing from unsuccessful writing. If you are reading an article, you automatically start to scan it.

The scanning actually has a pattern, which is that we first look to the upper left and then to the center. A headline is quite functional for this reason. The search engines are built to replicate this process, to some extent. This means that the search engine is going to judge your Press Release partially based on the words that appear in these areas.

For this reason, you should make sure that you are putting the keywords that are most important to you in the top and to the left, as well as in the center. The subheading and first part of a headline are very important! This makes it easier for your readers and the search engines to know what the release is about.

Use Quality Content

This means that you have to make sure that you are either using your best writing skills or hiring talented writers to create the release. This is because the better the content, the more likely it is going to be to get distributed to the channels that matter most. Your content should be:

Organized appropriately for a Press Release.

Well researched.

Well written.

Entertaining.

Use SEO-Friendly Content

Of course, the Press Release must be written well and be entertaining. However, you also want to know what your keywords should be. These are basically the words that describe your product or service. They are also the words that people are most likely to use to search for services like yours online.

Verify Your Keywords

Once you make your list of keywords that people are most likely to use to find your service or product, you can verify it with various tools. You can use the Google Adwords tool for free or find various other tools online. Your goal is to find the keywords that have high “search volume.”

Be Aware of Natural Density

It is ideal to use these keywords only once every 100 words or less. You do not want to use them too much, or else your press release sounds unnatural and odd. Instead, use them as you would in natural conversation if you were excited about your product.

Let People Know How To Find You With Links!

You may think it is a coincidence that when you read something interesting, there is an appropriate amount of links on the words you are most curious about that go to pages where you can learn more. This is no coincidence. In fact, it is an art that you would be wise to learn for your own Press Release.

What you want to do is make sure that you add a link to one of the major keywords in your release, and put the link at the top if possible. It is also good to make sure that the page you are linking to is also optimized for the same keyword.

The reason that this is a good thing to do is that it helps build some popularity for your site while helping the readers who are interested in it to find it.

Remember that a lot of the things that you can do to help the search engines to hold your site in high regard are also the things that will help your readers to find you and make the best use of your services.

Few people realize that style and layout, otherwise known as formatting, are just as important to a successful press release as high-quality content. The news release layout is a critical thing to use so that your releases are taken seriously by the reader. Otherwise, they are likely to move on. Here we will talk about this outline.

The Outline To Follow For Press Release Writing

Here is the basic outline for press releases. If you follow it, your release will be much more likely to be taken seriously. Always check with specific distributors, as some may have a slight variation or certain specifications about one piece or another.

The Headline

In this section, you write a headline that is short. It should include your main keyword and be less than 270 characters.

Summary Intro

This is the section where you give a brief summary of the point of the release. It can be a sentence, or it can be a little bit longer. It is generally italicized and can stand alone to show the reader what to expect in the release.

Location/Date

After your summary intro, you start by saying where the news is happening. Often times, this is the location of the business. You will include the name of the distribution service in parentheses, and then say the date in the Month/Day/Year format.

Body Of Text

This should start directly after the date and be separated by a dash with a space. The body will vary in length from one release to the next, but generally it has a few paragraphs and they are all very short. Each one is singularly focused and precise. There is one line between each.

Information About the Company

This section is labeled so that the reader can easily find it; for instance, this section in a press release about Example.com might be titled, About Example.com. It has a precise factual synopsis of the business. It is the place that many eyes will skip to in order to tell if they want to read the body or not. The company information statement that you use here can also be used on published news releases.

Contact Information

Again, this section is labeled for the reader so that they can find it easily on the page. It will include the name of the contact person or spokesperson and their phone number and email address. If applicable, there will also be information for their Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn information. The URL for the business will also be in this section, as well as the physical address if applicable.

Press Release Writing and Distribution Service is now been offered at WebsiteTask.com

Just because a press release is written and sent out into the world does not mean that it is going to reach the target demographic. Concentrating the message in your press release to a specific segment of your target audience is an important thing to do. If you can do this, you will be appealing to the right demographic and your press release will be successful. The writing has to be focused, concentrated, and precise.

Every compartment of your business can have its own news release to appeal to the appropriate target audience. It is not a wise idea to try and cram all of the pieces into one news release because doing so is generally just confusing for the reader. Instead of being interested in the message, customers will feel confused and will promptly move on to the next piece in their news feed.

When you are writing a press release, split up all the points you want to say and make each one into its own release. This will prevent you from trying to cover too much at once. If you have a target audience that you want to reach, you will want to convey the information that will appeal to them in a way that is understandable and interesting. Remember that if they are not interested by the style and information presented, they are not going to want to explore your services any further.

It is important to keep in mind the fact that you do not need to rush and do this all at once. Instead, you can keep a list of topics for future news releases. If you are sure that the same information will be interesting next week, why not spread them out so that more people can see the services you are offering?

If you are going to wait to distribute some of the topics in the future, then keep track of these topics with a schedule. You can then create the various releases and keep them handy until it is time to publish them on schedule.

Most basically, always remember that:

> A press release should be to the point.

> A press release should be geared towards a specific portion of your audience.

> A press release should not contain too much scattered information.

> A list of topics can be kept for future releases.

Press release service is now available at WebsiteTask.com

Learning how to write a press release is one of the most valuable publicity tools that you can use to promote your company. Journalists of all types like a well written press release because they are informative, short, and fill up space. In short, it makes their job easier, lightens their work load and reduces the space they have to fill by adding interesting content for their readers.

Since you want your press release to be read and published it needs an attention-grabbing headline. In fact, “attention grabbing” are the operative words when learning how to write a press release. The most important keywords should be the first three in the headline, such as “Energy Costs Increase Sharply in First Quarter” or “Self Help Courses in Demand in Middle America”.

It is important to keep sentences and paragraphs short and concise so that the press release is quick and easy to read. Your goal is not so much to educate as to create interest in your subject so that the reader will want to learn more. Avoid run-on sentences and stick to the facts. Your readers will want to read opinions and you must generate enough interest for them to go after that information on their own.

The most effective technique when learning how to write a press release is to stick to the 5 W’s: who, what, when, where, and why. For example:

Bordeaux Investments Brokers Optimistic for Second Quarter

Jay Norris, spokesman for Wine, Inc., says the company expects stocks to soar higher in the second quarter according to their Paris branch that has just finished the annual report on crop conditions in the Bordeaux region.

As you can see, anyone interested in the subject of Bordeaux wine investments will be grabbed by the headline and have the essential facts in less than 30 seconds. They are likely to read the entire press release and continue to the company’s site, which you will insert at the end of the press release.

It is standard practice to end the press release with three hash marks like so: ### centered beneath the last line of the release. Under these you should offer concise facts about the company, contact information and a link to their website.

Now that you know how the write a press release you’ll want to submit it to several press release submission services. You’ll find several dozen of them with a simple internet search. Writing a good press release takes just a few minutes if you have all the facts and the results after releasing it can be spectacular.

Many people who break up with a husband, wife or lover know that there have been problems but they didn’t realize how serious the other person thought it was. That’s why there are so many broken-hearted people wondering how they lost the love of their life and how to get them back. It’s not impossible to get your ex back but it will take some sincere effort on your part plus some serious self-examination.

If you are one of those people who were shocked when your love broke off the relationship, it’s probably for one of two reasons: the person fell in love with someone else or felt that they just weren’t important to you. Assuming there is not a third person in the picture, ask yourself why you did not see it coming. Are you too busy at work or were you spending too much time with your friends? Was a video game or computer time more enjoyable than spending time with them? Or did you just think they would always be there? This is one scenario that is repeated time and again in love affairs and sometimes it can present the easiest way to get your ex back.

Lack of attention isn’t that easily remedied but if you work hard at it you can convince them that you’ve truly changed. Think about the priorities in your life and write them down, assuming that you are still together with that person. Where do they land in the list—number 1 or are they down around number 5? If they are not at the top of the list then you have to make some serious attitude and lifestyle changes. If you want to get back with your ex you have to make them number 1 in your life! More importantly, you have to convince them that they are at the top of your list and will continue to be in the future, not just for the purpose of resuming your relationship.

Once you’ve weaned yourself away from the computer, the video games, nights out with your friends or any other distraction it’s time to wage the war for his or her heart. You can start by apologizing, in person and sincerely. Invite them to a neutral place where there aren’t any memories to get in the way or distract either of you. Tell them you realize that you’ve lost the most important treasure of your life and that you were a fool to take them for granted. Then leave. That’s right, leave! Give them time to think about what you’ve said. Chances are 50/50 that you’ll get a call or a text from them within 24 hours.

If not, go to phase two and send them flowers, preferably to their workplace where everyone can see and give them feedback on what a great person you must be. Call them the next day and ask if they’ll have lunch with you. Repeat these steps using a variety of things that they love to receive. When they accept your date, let them talk about themselves. Direct the conversation to them, always, and stay interested. Remember that they are the most fascinating person in the world! For the rest of your relationship you’re going to be very, very interested in them and eventually you’re going to find that you really enjoy that—that’s real love.

Avoid texting when you can call or show up in person. If you want them back you shouldn’t do so using impersonal means like cell phones. Personal attention is the key to getting your ex back as long as it is sincere and heartfelt.

LG’s new flat screen television takes entertainment to a whole new level of sight and sound. Measuring 40.1 x 10.4 x 27.5 inches and weighing only 33 pounds it is easy to move if needed and its slimline design complements any décor. But there is more to this marvel of technology than looks—you will not believe the superior viewing experience you’ll get thanks to HDMI technology.

HDMI stands for High-Definition Multimedia Interface. This new technology transfers uncompressed data from the source to an HDMI device such as a television, CD player, Blu-Ray disc player, computer, etc. Conventional television signals are converted into analog information at the source and then converted back to digital to display on the television screen. This results in loss of integrity and distorts the picture as well as the sound. HDMI TV doesn’t need the information converted so it arrives just as it left the source—a clean, crisp picture and perfect sound just as it was produced to be transmitted. Conventional TV owners might think they have the best picture and sound until they sit down in front of an HDMI television.

Before HDMI technology you could get a better picture but needed special equipment, cables and jacks. With HDMI you don’t need all that mess, just the television itself. HDMI also comes with up to 8 digital audio channels so you get outstanding surround-sound if you choose to. It is capable of carrying 5 gigabits of data per second, twice the bandwidth of conventional televisions or other audio-visual devices. Now, watching a concert on television is the closet thing to being there if you have LG’s new HDMI TV.

HDMI technology makes colors are more vibrant and realistic; even the smallest detail stands out. The Picture Wizard II allows you to adjust the picture to your own preferences; you can use on-screen calibration to configure color, sharpness, tint, backlighting levels and black level to get the visual experience that is most rewarding to you. Why should you be confined to what a factory technician thinks is ideal when you can choose your own settings?

LG’s new 42” HDMI television is also an energy saver so you won’t have to spend a fortune to enjoy your favorite movies, shows and events. Depending on how much your energy supplier charges per kilowatt hour, you’ll spend an average of just $22 per year based on 5 hours of viewing per day.

LG has also addressed one of the frustrations most of us have experienced with lighting conditions. Our TV might be fine most of the day but when the sun is setting its glare might interfere with the picture. Who wants to sit in a heavily draped room just to watch TV? LG’s Intelligent Sensor is designed to optimize the picture depending on lighting conditions in the room. Plus, you’ll have pixel resolution of 1080p which transcends conventional HDTV for the best picture clarity, detail and quality that you’ve ever enjoyed.

As an article writer your job is to please the client no matter how difficult his/her demands are. Your client is usually trying to sell a product or service and your content writing is an important key in his or her marketing plan. One of the most maddening but important aspects of website content writing is keywords and their placement.

Using Keywords Creatively

Keywords, as you may know, are words that the average person uses to look up something on a search engine. But because not everyone is proficient in English or have been taught proper spelling and grammar you client may ask you to use some awkward keywords. For example one of the keywords might be “driver’s license Utah”. How in the world do you use that in a grammatically correct sentence?! Well, you don’t. If you made it grammatically correct then the words would probably not show up in the search engine when the person who was looking for driver’s licenses in Utah typed in their query. You would have lost a web surfer who was looking for the article you are writing.

Sometimes you can use an awkward keyword by structuring your sentence creatively. You could write “when it comes to a driver’s license Utah has some stringent requirements”. You’ve eliminated the comma between license and Utah that would normally be there but at least the sentence makes sense.

Placement is Important – Good SEO Strategy

Keyword placement is another important aspect of website writing and article marketing. To optimize the article for search engine optimization (referred to as SEO) you need to insert the main keyword in the first and last sentence of the article. The more keywords you can group into those two sentences, the better. You should have at least a 2% incidence in the article; a 500 word article would mention the main keyword 10 times. Any more than that and some search engines will not list the article because it meets their definition of keyword stuffing, usually found in Spam.

Word Count Madness

Sometimes you will be asked to write an article much longer than the subject needs. After all, how much can you say about the Japanese beetle or the ornaments women put in their hair? Yet the client wants 600 words about each subject! A more serious challenge is when they want several articles on the same subject that are unique from each other. This means you have to get creative and fill the articles with enough “fluff” to meet the word count. One way to get a few extra words is to use abbreviations and include what they mean such as “the product met the standards of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration)”. You’ve just added 4 more words in defining an abbreviation!

Another way to add to the word count while maintaining quality in your article writing is to examine the history of the subject. Spread it out over several articles if several are ordered but it is just one article be brief enough not to bore your reader. You can also give examples of how the item or subject is treated, used or regarded in other countries or throughout history. Make it interesting and try to compare and contrast it to today’s customs. This type of fluff will add at least 100 words to your article.

Don’t Compromise Your Moral Compass

The last issue you might have with article writing or website content writing is subjects you are uncomfortable with or products you know do not work as the client is advertising. One good example is the current Acai berry craze connected with losing weight. Your research shows you that it is not effective in weight loss although it does have health benefits. If you don’t want to turn down the article you can emphasize the health aspects and minimize the weight loss by the use of subtle words and phrases. These would include “while research is still ongoing, initial results look promising” and emphasizing that a healthy diet and exercise are essential to effective weight loss. Any time you are writing about health issues you should include at least one mention that the reader should consult their physician before starting a diet/exercise/herbal supplement, etc.

With article writing you can have a lot of fun with website content writing and become very effective at article marketing. It’s educational and even entertaining to be an article writer and there is no shortage of work!

One advantage of article writing and website writing is that you learn so much about so many things. For example, I never thought I could understand how the stock market worked until I accepted an assignment for several dozen articles about different types of stocks and how they were traded. In addition, that knowledge now allows me to better participate in my own investments and has saved me from making some bad decisions!

Learn How to Research Effectively

I learned so much and was successful in writing those articles because I knew how to research correctly. Knowing the proper keywords to use will save you a lot of time and aggravation; if you’re looking for information on the stock market you have to narrow down your search to a particular aspect. If the client wants you to write about derivatives you first search for “definition of derivative” or “what are derivatives?” By reading some of the results you’ll be able to form more questions and grab onto tidbits of information that let you know what questions a reader might be asking that you can address. Keeping a minimized word or notepad document open on top of your research will allow you to take notes while you read.

You’re going to be doing a lot of research as an article writer so you may as well get paid for doing that, too. I used the search engine on MyPoints for awhile and racked up several gift cards but then found SwagBucks that doubled my profit. There are several search providers that will pay you in points or cash—Google it and find the one that’s best for you.

Once you have your subject researched you’ll have a good idea of what you want to say. Making an outline of the article will help you form the article and focus your thoughts. Then you can organize your notes along those lines. After that it’s just a matter of turning fragments into sentences and forming logical paragraphs.

Objectivity is Important

Website content writing can be interesting and even fun but it’s important to always remain objective and keep your own opinions out of your articles unless the client specifically requests it. For instance, if you are writing a profile of a political candidate you may be tempted to include some information that reflects badly on the person’s character. The info you found could even appear legitimate, published in newspapers and magazines as fact. It’s tempting, particularly if you don’t care much to see that person in office but you’ll find, as I did, that “facts” about peoples’ personal lives or political beliefs are often untrue. Good article writing means maintaining your objectivity, sticking to the facts and presenting them in an interesting way. Nobody wants your opinion about politics, medical practices, recreation, money management or any other subject.

Always check the grammar and spelling before submitting your article and verify it is correct by reading the entire article carefully. You’d be surprised how many errors this software misses and it’s better for you to find it than the client!
